Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4

Following the likes of Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche, it was never a case of “if” Lamborghini would introduce a hybrid supercar but more “when”. Announced recently at the Paris Motor Show in its concept form, this new “bull” has us urging Lamborghini to put the Asterion into production. The body takes a more curvaceous route than the previous generation, but the styling offers more than a subtle nod to the Aventador and Huracan. Under the body is where you’ll find the most radical changes, the mid-mounted high revving 5.2L v10 is teamed with 3 battery driven electric motors. The result is a ferocious 910bhp serving up 0-62mph time in less than 3 seconds and co2 levels that will no doubt excite most Prius drivers. The electric range allows up to 30 miles of driving at maximum speeds of 77mph, making this a supercar for the 21st century. Fingers crossed this car hits full production some time in 2015.
