Mini John Cooper Works 2015

Mini John Cooper Works 2015

Iconic would be an understatement. The Mini Cooper redefined motoring all the way back in 1963, and whilst BMW have taken an evolutionary not revolutionary approach they’ve done a job John Cooper would be proud of in this latest update. The hottest model of them all, the Mini John Cooper Works gets a facelift and upgraded performance, including the new aerodynamically friendly bodywork along with TwinPower Turbo technology. As happy on the track as it is cruising around town, the turbocharged 2.0L four cylinder engine produces a healthy 228bhp providing a 0-62mph sprint in 6.3 seconds, troubling entry level Z4’s and SLK’s. This latest iteration also benefits from redesigned suspension, offering a firmer ride whilst improving handling along with stability control, adaptive traction control, adjustable damping, and an electronic locking diff. Exterior styling see the Mini with a more aggressive look, with larger air intakes feeding the feisty engine. Although you won’t be giving anything less than full throttle as you make the tyres squeal with joy, Mini claim a combined co2 output of 42.2mpg, with the auto gearbox achieving an unbelievable combined 49.5mpg. Arriving in Q2 2015, the best hot hatch just got hotter.
