Not every Whisky can boast it's built on nearly 400 years of distilling heritage. You see, we prefer our whisky from Scotland, in the same way we prefer our cars…
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie
Since 1881 when their distillery was first established, Bruichladdich have been producing the finest, and in our eyes flawless whisky, with a provenance and integrity which sets the bar at the highest level. It was the Harvey brothers, who themselves from an established Glasgow whisky family decided to run their own business independently. Their cheekily named “The Classic Laddie” whisky is a single malt scotch which has been created by master distiller Jim McEwan. Each batch is selected from a handful of casks, which best showcase Bruichladdich’s excellent flavours.
Using only the finest 100% Scottish barley, the quality really shines through. This is a seriously smooth and clean tasting whisky, with the taste of oak and grain working in perfect harmony.
Each batch is matured in Lochindaal, in the American oak barrels which brings a authentic taste to The Classic Laddie. Those interested in the bouquet, will be happy to hear it’s clean and matured. Think wild cut flowers, mint with a touch of caramelised fruits and citrus. The palate is both refreshing and refined, bringing barley, and sweet oak together with green fruit, brown sugar and sweet malt. A true benchmark whisky, that should be part of your collection.Get it! | £35
