Guinness 1759 Beer

Guinness 1759 Beer

A limited edition ale from the masters of the dark stuff you ask? Hitting stores this Winter, Ireland’s iconic beer brand has been busy perfecting the recipe to this 1759 beer. Brewed using a mixture of traditional beer malt and the same peated whisky malt used in the finest Scotch whiskies, 1759 offers a taste and refinement other beers will struggle to match. The name is a deserved tribute to the year founder Arthur Guinness signed the lease for the original brewery in St. James’ Gate, Dublin. With 255 years of inspiration, this recipe delivers the distinct palette those familiar with Guinness will admire – a rich butterscotch aroma, teamed with caramel flavours combined with a slight fruity sweetness. At 9% ABV a couple of bottles will be enough for most, except on St. Patricks day perhaps.
